With advances in transportation and information technology, even the most remote places on Earth are within reach of the traveler. In fact, tourism is now the world’s largest industry despite terrorism and safety issues many destinations face.

As more regions and countries develop their tourism industry, it produces significant impacts on natural resources, consumption patterns, pollution and social systems. Many countries then develop sustainable or ecotourism to offer visitors unique experience with nature while protecting it at the same time.
