Togo and Japan—Feelings of satisfaction and gratitude

Mr. Alewabia Delali Aklesso BODJONA
Chargé d’affaires ad interim of the Republic of Togo to Japan
In October 2010, I had the honor to be designated by my government as the chargé d’affaires of Togo and the first Togolese diplomat to Japan with an exciting assignment of opening the Embassy of Togo in Japan.

At this particular moment, as I am preparing myself to go back to my country after the completion of my mission, I would like to share with Japan and the Worlds’ readers my feelings of satisfaction and gratitude towards the Government of Japan as well as extend my gratitude to my friends, brothers, and sisters, the Japanese people, for these past six years that were amazing and fruitful. My family and myself are grateful for the love and joy received from all of you.

This message is also an opportunity for me to introduce to you a special book I published, “Japan, My Heart Sings”, in which I talk about my experience in Japan, my feelings about Japan, and its people, starting from my first contact with the country in September 2009 as an internship student learning the Japanese language to now as I prepare to leave the country after six years.
